Here at TelNet Worldwide, we believe in the power of connection — more than the kind sparked from links and protocols. With the holiday season in full force, we thought it was the perfect time to give back to our local communities here in Southeast Michigan. And through Grace Centers of Hope’s Fall Meal Ticket Campaign, we were able to do just that!
Grace Centers of Hope (GCH) is a nonprofit organization that provides refuge, safety and security to those in need and offers a wide range of programs to help individuals and families rebuild their lives. Each year, GCH serves more than 150,000 meals to the men, women and children in their programs. They believe that hope begins with a single meal, and we couldn’t agree more.
“GCH has an amazing team of people that selflessly give day in and day out for others in need,” said Elissa Mesi, TelNet’s HR generalist. “It really doesn’t get any better than that.”
Giving Hope and a Meal
In a company-wide, month-long fundraising effort, Team TelNet was able to provide 1,578 meals to the Grace Centers of Hope community. We received over 35 individual donations from members of our staff in November, which were then matched by TelNet to maximize impact.
“I was excited to see how many people would come together for such a great cause, especially during the holiday season,” said Mesi. “You can only do so much on your own, but when you have a team of people come together, the possibilities are endless. I am beyond thrilled with the results and how many meals we have raised. It’s truly amazing.”
It’s true: Our company and our community are made stronger when we come together for the greater good.
