Madison Heights, MI — TelNet Worldwide, a communication service provider (CSP) serving small and mid-sized businesses nationwide, announced today that it will offer Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams. They will provide Microsoft Teams users the ability to add voice services.
Microsoft Teams is a critical tool for collaboration and communications for hundreds of thousands of organizations across the globe. With Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams, communication service providers like TelNet Worldwide connect SIP trunks to the Microsoft Phone System. This virtual PBX enables voice capabilities in Office 365 via a certified session border controller (SBC).
TelNet Worldwide will leverage Ribbon’s certified SBCs, which will be hosted in a Tier III data center facility. TelNet SIP trunks will then be delivered over the customer’s internet connection to an SBC device.
This connection will allow organizations to make and receive external, off-network calls from within the Teams application. This eliminates the need for additional physical equipment and systems. Users will be able to meet, call, chat and collaborate from a single application, on any device.
“This is a great opportunity for customers to combine Microsoft’s powerhouse collaboration suite with TelNet’s robust SIP Trunking service,” said TelNet Worldwide Product Manager, Sam Price. “Enabling PSTN access for Teams will allow users to place and receive calls anywhere in the world.”
